Gisteren bracht Erik de puntslakjes (Melanoides Tuberculata).  Deze slakjes leven overdag in je bodem en 's nachts komen zij boven om te eten.  Het is deze dagelijkse beweging die een zandbodem nodig heeft om niet dicht te slibben en te beginnen rotten.

Yesterday, Erik brought snails to my appartment (Melanoides Tuberculata).  These snails live in your substrate during the day and night they surface to eat.  It is this daily movement which a bottom of sand needs in order not to silt and starting to rot.

Deze foto's zijn getrokken 6 uur nadat zij in de aquarium zaten.  Met gedoofde lichten, uiteraard. / These pictures are taken six hours after the snails have been put in the aquarium.  With dimmed lights, of course.

Vandaag bracht hij de plantjes.  Het defintieve plantenbestand voor dit aquarium is geworden: 12 Anubias barteri, 1 MP Anubias congensis en 10 Valisneria gigantea.
