De Steenhoop Vastlijmen. / Glueing the Pile of Rocks.

Yesteday, Eddy came to help us to glue the pile of rocks.

We moesten onze steenhoop afbreken. / We needed to demolish our pile of rocks first.  But, we had already an idea of which rocks needed to be placed where.

While we were busy, Silleke decided to go off on het own.

Silleke ging op zoek naar Vlekkie. / Silleke went to search Vlekkie.

But, she didn't succeed in finding Vlekkie.  To our relief.

Even later hadden we terug 1 doos met stenen. / A moment later, our box was full again.

Maar aan de basis veranderden we niets. / But, we didn't change the base.

It was time that Eddy glued the rocks on the baseplate with silicones, that are aquarium-safe.

Wat Eddy prompt deed. / What Eddy promptly did.

We put 4 PVC-pipes in our pile of rocks.  They will serve as hiding places for the Erpetoichthys calabaricus, Macrognathus aculeatus and Sturisoma panamese, whenever they experience a need to it.

We bouwen voort. / We continue to build.

De Steenhoop. / The Pile of Rocks.

Tim and I each have bought the same, new lamp.  This one.  Bert and Boogie have brought them to our appartments.  This lamp has been bought in IKEA and has cost us each 15 euro.  It isn't a great lamp, but it gives light and that's after all the intention.

The samples of the materials, that lay drying at a hangar of my nephews, have arrived.

Houtskool in cokes-vorm. / Charchoal.

Sierschors in 3 maten. / Bark in 3 sizes.

Mulch, potgrond en nog iets anders. / Mulch, soil and something else.

2 kinds of rocks.  The ones in the back ciolour black under water.

Dus, keuze genoeg. / Besides this, we have vine and different kinds of wood.  So, plenty of choise.

We have planned on 2 months to dress and finish the bakground.  The idea is to do that before Eddy comes to help us by spraying 3 layers of epoxy under high pressure.  We put the last layer of epoxy over the background and will sprinkle it with sand.

We had to be busy with our boxes.

Om de mooie stenen te scheiden... / In order to seperate the rocks that succeeded very well...

Van de minder geslaagde... / From the ones that succeeded not so well...

Ze zijn gesplitst. / They are seperated.

I take the box with rocks that aren't succeeded that well and place them on the baseplate.

Zo doen wij dat. / That's the way we do it.

We stapelen voort... / We pile them up...
