Ik heb m'n volledig foto-archief (12.000 foto's in 2 jaar tijd) nagekeken en herleid tot 890 foto's. Hieruit zal ik m'n beste foto's (een 100 tot 150-tal) destilleren.
I have revised my complete archive of pictures (12.000 pics after just 2 years) and reduced it to 890 pictures. Out of these, I'll destill my best pictures (between 100 and 150 pics).
Dit is het negende deel van m'n betere foto's. En, wat mij betreft, is het ook m'n definitieve doorbraak als fotograaf. Tevens betekent het voor mij het einde van de zware dominantie van luchtfoto's. Vanaf dit deel zullen er altijd andere beelden zijn, die naar voor komen, buiten de luchfotografie. Dit komt niet omdat ik vroeger geen foto's trok van andere zaken dan wolkenformaties. Maar dit komt omdat die eindelijk van een kwaliteit zijn om ze te tonen, zonder schaamrood op de wangen.
This is the ninth part of my better pictures. And, as far as I'm concerned, it is my definitive break-through as a photographer. It also means that the days are over, in wich pictures of sky were so dominating present in my work. From this part onwards, there will always be other pictures seeking your attention than the classical pictures of the sky, alone. This isn't because I didn't take any pictures, other than pictures of the sky. But because those pictures are finally of a quality, worth showing.
