De oorzaak hiervan is dat we geairbrushd hebben. En het pistool van een airbrush is zo delicaat en vraagt zoveel onderhoud dat je gewoonweg niet vooruit raakt. Altijd is er wel iets dat vastloopt. We overwegen, om deze reden, af te stappen van de airbrush en zullen ons informeren naar de minst krachtige verfspuit en verschillende technieken van verven bestuderen deze zomer, om min of meer hetzelfde effect te hebben als een airbrush, maar we verlost zijn van het onderhioud dat een airbrush vraagt.
The cause of this is that we used our airbrush. And, the gun of an airbrush is so delicate, so fine that it requires a lot of maintenance. That way, you don't get anywhere. All the time there is something that goes wrong. We're contemplaining to stop using the airbrush (because of the maintenance) and will inform about the least powerful paintgun and about some new ways to paint, which have more or less the same effect as an airbrush. However, that way we can get rid of the troubles, that are connected with using an airbrush.
Zo begonnen we gisteren. / So, we began yesterday.
Tim opent onze kleurtjes. / Tims opens our cans of paint.
We beginnen met een nieuwe kleur. / We take another colour.
Ik ben bezig. / I'm using the airbrush.
Het thermosje met heet water dat we gebruiken na elke kleur om door het pistool te jagen. / The flask is filled with hot water to clean the gun of the airbrush, in between colours.
Vlekkie, die toekijkt. / Vlekkie watches.
Maar, al snel slaat het noodlot toe. Onze airbrush geeft het voor de zoveelste keer op. / But, quickly luck turns on us. Our airbrush refuses again to work.
De remedie is: een nachtje laten weken in cellulose thinner. / The remedy is: letting the gun soak for a night in celluloid thinner.
Gisteren zijn we zover gekomen. / Yesteday, we came so far.
Vandaag zijn we begonnen met het uitkuisen en het monteren van ons pistool. / Today, we began to clean the gun of our airbrush.
Waarna ik weer voortwerkte. / After which, I worked on.
Zowaar, er werd vooruitgang geboekt! / Some progress is made!
Tot ons pistool het weer eens begeeft. / Until our gun gets stuck once more.
Geen wonder wanneer je ziet wat Tim eruit haalt. / No wonder, if you look at what Tim still gets out of it.
Dus, Tim terug de shop in. / So, Tim back in the shop.
Zoals altijd slaagt hij erin het pistool weer aan de praat te krijgen. / As always, he succeeds to fix the gun.

Uiteindelijk komen we hierbij uit. / In the end, this is the result.
Morgen nazien onder daglicht. Eventueel wordt er iets verbeterd. Dan, een laag epoxy over een wortel of de rotsen. Dan stooien we turf. Daarna volgt nog 1 laag epoxy. Als dat gedaan is, beginnen aan de achterwand. Pfff... Eindelijk...
Tomorrow we check it under daylight. If need be, something gets repaired. Then, we put another layer over our rocks or roots. After that, we're going to use peed. Then, another layer of epoxy. When that is done, we begin the work on the actual background. Pfff... Finally...
