Mijn nieuwe camera is gearriveerd. Het is een Pentax-K5-II geworden. Deze veldcamera is een echte camera voor mij: geschikt om in elk weertype te functioneren, regenbestendig, stofwerend en met een automatische censorreiniging, iedere keer als je de camare aan zet. Dit was het grootste probleem met mijn Sony NEX-5, de censor werd té gemakkelijk en té snel vuil.
My new camera has arrived, today. It has become a Pentax K-5 II. This field camera truelly is a camera for me: suited to operate in any type of weather, rainproof, dust-proof and with an automatic cleaning of the censor, every time you turn it on. This was the greatest problem with the Sony NEX-5. Its censor became dirty, too easy and too often.
Bovendien heeft de Pentax k-5 II een automatic bracketing functie met 5 foto's die je kan instellen als je wil, zodat ik ein-de-lijk de Hdr-negatieven kan hebben die het best geschikt zijn om aan Hdr te doen: die met 2 EV verschil. Ik kan nu de serie trekken: -2 EV / -1 EV / 0 EV / +1 EV / +2 EV en die in Photomatix opladen om er één Hdr-foto van te maken.
Furthermore, the Pentax has a automatic bracketing function that allows to take 5 pictures and you can set the exposure difference as you like it. I'll finally be able to make my Hdr-pictures from the negatives, best suited to make Hdr-pictures: those with 2 EV difference. Now I can shoot the series -2 EV / -1 EV / 0 EV / +1 EV / +2 EV and load them up in Photomatix to make one Hdr-picture.
Gemonteerd op de camera staat een Tamron 10 - 24 mm groorhoeklens. Deze lens schijnt al gecorrigeerd op lensvervormingen, zoals de donkere hoeken, die je terugvindt op veel van mijn Hdr-foto's.
Mounted on the camera there is a Tamron 10 - 24 mm wide angle lens. This lens seems to be corrected for distortions of the lens, like the dark corners which you can find on many of my Hdr-pictures.
Voor de rest hoop ik dat ik hem zal kunnen hanteren. Het programma van de Pentax K 5-II is zo breed (veel te breed, volgens mij) dat de handleiding wel 363 blz telt. Wie eraan wil beginnen, mag van mij, maar ik weet wel betere dingen te doen met mijn tijd.

De Pentax K-5 II staat op manueel belichten met de sluitertijd vast op 1/125 sec, 200 ISO (zolang het licht het toelaat, daarna wordt de ISO verhoogd) en de te veranderen diafragmagrootte. Net als mijn Sony NEX-5. En, de Pentax K5-II staat op automatic bracketing met 5 negatieven en een belichtingsverschil van telkens 1 EV. Hier is wel een belangrijk verschil met mijn Sony te merken. De Sony kon slechts 3 foto's geven in zijn automatic bracketing functie en het maximale belichtingsverschil was 0.7 EV.

Currently the setting of the Pentax K5-II is the exposure on manual with a fixed shutter time of 1/125 sec, 200 ISO (as long as the light allows it, after that moment the ISO gets elevated) and with an adjustable aperture size (?). Just like my Sony NEX-5. And, the automatic bracketing function of the Pentax K5-II stands on delivering 5 pictures with a difference of exposure between them of 1 EV. Here, you can notice an important change, compared to the Sony NEX-5. The Sony could only give 3 pictures with a maximum difference of exposure of 0.7 EV.
Met de rest kan de Pentax K5-II zijn plan trekken, wat mij betreft. Want ik ben nu eenmaal geen fotograaf die een hele studie van de situatie maakt, voordat hij één foto trekt.
