Waarom haten ze ons? / Why do they hate us?

In the fragment below, you see Bill Maher debating his guests.  Bill Maher is an American comedian who has a weekly comedy show on the network HBO, besides his stand-up comedy acts.  This fragment comes out the show of Friday 13/11/2015, the same night on which occured the terrorist attacks on Paris.  Although this is obviously an American program, he remarks a couple of things sharply.  First, he establishes the clear link between the Western bombing of Syria and the subsequently terrorist attacks.  Secondly, he proposes to leave the countries of the Middle East.  After all, the USA has tried to intervene militarily in that region since 1980 and none of these interventions resulted in a success.  Thirdly, he makes it clear that the macho-behavior of our politicians with their absurd desire to destroy ISIS will never work.  And, fourthly, he wonders where the Arab nations are, when it comes down on ISIS.  After all, ISIS is mainly their problem and yet they remain absent on every battle-field.
