De 151e Fotoreportage. / The 151st Report.

Goed, dit is de 151ste fotoreportage van dit decor en ook meteen de laatste volwaardige reportage die ik aan de bouw van dit decor zal wijden. / Alright, this is the 151st report of the construction of our background and, at the same time, almost the last report.

Het decor is nog niet af, maar wel zo goed als. / The background is not finished yet, but it's nearing the end.

We hadden een namiddag-sessie en ik heb er laat in de avond nog een bij gedaan.  Laten we beginnen met de namiddag-sessie. / We worked together in the afternoon and in the evening I worked on.

Voila, onze boom is bedolven onder de turf.  Eronder zit natuurlijk een laag epoxy. / This is our artificial tree, burried under peat.  Underneath the peat, there's a layer of epoxy, of course.

Tim en Ayla zijn komen helpen door een tweede laag epoxy te zetten over dit plaatje. / Tim and Ayla coated this plate with a second layer of epoxy.

Terwijl dat ligt te drogen, ben ik blij u ons decor voor te stellen, voor zover het af is. / While that is drying, I will present you with our background, for as far as it's finished.

De avondsessie. / Working in the evening.

Het werk, zoals het ligt te wachten op me. / The work.

En, de voorzijde van m'n plaatje is gedroogd.  Nu nog de achterkant van twee lagen epoxy voorzien. / And, the front of my plate is dry.  Now I'll put two layers of epoxy on the backside.

Dit is het volume verharder dat ik nog heb.  Niet om over naar huis te schrijven, wel? / This is all of component B (epoxy) that I still have.  Not much, is it?

Ik begin eraan.  Na 160 gram epoxy is dit het resultaat. / I start.  This is the result after 160 gr of epoxy.

Om de boom op de daarvoor aangewezen plek in het decor op te nemen, moet er enorm veel turf op.  Vandaar is mijn verbruik van epoxy zo hoog en mijn vooruitgang zo gering. / Regarding the place of this tree in the background, there needs to be a lot of peat over it.  That's why my progress is so small and I use a lot of epoxy to reach it.

Maar, ik geef niet op.  Nog een portie van 160 gram gaat eraan, nadat ik een break nam, natuurlijk. / But, I don't give up.  I use another 160 gr of epoxy.  After I took a break, of course.

Na de tweede laag epoxy op de onderkant van m'n plaatje, is het af.  Wat mij betreft toch... / After the second layer of epoxy, the plate is finished, according to me...

En, ik raak verder met onze boom. / And, I continue with our tree.

Maar het werk is nog niet gedaan. / However, the work isn't done yet.

Dus, een derde portie epoxy van 160 gram.  Maar, daarmee moet het lukken.  Want, dit is al de verharder die er rest. / So, a third portion of 160 gr of epoxy is needed.  But, that has to do it.  'Cause, this is all of component B that's still left.

En, het lukt nog ook. / And, it proofs to be enough.

Nu is alles gedaan, op de wortels van onze boom na.  Maar, die zijn we van plan te bedekken met turfbrij (indien mogelijk) en daarvoor heb ik niet genoeg epoxy.  Mogen is het zondag, dus de fabriek is dicht.  Maandag echter ga ik om epoxy (5 kilo).  Er zit in het totaal al zo'n 10 kilo epoxy in dit decor. / Now, everything is done, except the roots of our tree.  However, I'm planning to coat them with porridge of peat (if possible) and I don't have enough of epoxy to coat them.  Tomorrow it is Sunday.  So, Vosschemie is closed.  But Monday I'll get new epoxy.  Now, there's more than 10 kilo of epoxy in the entire background.

De Kracht van Turf! / The Power of Peat!

Dit is al de epoxy ik nog heb.  Vooral de verharder vormt een probleem.  Niet voor vanavond, maar wel voor het hele decor.  Heb ik genoeg?  Ik gok van niet... / This is all the B-component of epoxy that I still have left.  It might become a problem.  Not for tonight, but for the entire background.  Will I have enough epoxy?  I don't think so...

En, dit is mijn vooraadje turf. / This is my small supply of peat.

Zo ligt het werk op ons te wachten. / The work that lays waiting on me.

Het is 22.30 u eer ik eraan kan beginnen.  Maar, er staat een CD'tje op met nummers van Volbeat, Sick of It All, Henry Rollins, No Means no en Jello Biafra, dus ik heb er zin in. / It's 22.30 h before I can start.  But I have a CD playing with numbers of Volbeat, Sick of it All, Henry Rollins and Jello Biafra, so I'm in the mood.

Tim komt me helpen door dit plaatje te epoxyceren.  Dan gaat hij naar bed. / Tim comes to help with coating this plate with epoxy.  After that, he turns to bed.

Dit is het resultaat nadat ik de bestrooide delen van plaat 3 heb geepoxyceerd en na 3 porties turfbrij. / This is the result, after I coated the parts on wich I've thrown peat with epoxy and I made 3 portions of porridge of peat.

Dan houd ik een break. / Then, it's time for a break.

Na vijf porties, houd ik een tweede break. / After five portions, I have another break.

Ondertussen staat plaat 2 er mooi te wezen. / In the meantime, I see plate 2 standing.

Zo vond ik m'n werk uitgestald.  Plaat 3. / I found my work like this.  Plate 3.

En, m'n nieuwe plaatje om de kruik op te zetten. / And, my new plate, to place the jar upon.

Het is de bedoeling van plaat 3 van 2 lagen epoxy te voorzien en m'n nieuwe plaatje te verven. / It is the intention to coat plate 3 with 2 layers of epoxy, on the front-side, and to paint my new plate.
