In het winterseizoen ben ik van plan mij ook met modelbouw bezig te houden. Mijn keuze viel uiteindelijk op de 'Hermann Marwede', een Duits zoek- en reddingschip.
I intend to occupy myself in the winter season with building a model of a ship. In the end, my choice fell upon the 'Hermann Marwede', a German search and rescue vessel.

Ik begin met de romp van het schip. Eerst het afplakken. / I start with the hull of the ship. First the taping.
Daarna wordt de onderkant bruin geschilderd. / After that, the bottom is painted brown.
Vlekkie volgt alles met onverholen interesse (geeuw). / Vlekkie is following everything with unconcealed intrest (yawn).
Dan volgt er een tweede tape en een paar details worden al rood geschilderd. / There follows a second tape and a few details are already painted red.
Nu nog de reling in metalic. / Then follows the railing in metalic.
Uiteindelijk ziet de romp er zo uit. / In the end the hull looks like this.
Nu ga ik de romp aan elkaar lijmen. / Now I'm going to glue the hull together.
Dit is wat ik zal doen. / This is what I'm about to do.
Vlekkie gelooft er geen barst van. / Vlekkie doesn't think I'm able to do that.
Na veel geklungel krijg ik het toch voor elkaar. Niet slecht als je maar 1 hand hebt. / After much troubles, I get it ready. Not bad when you have only 1 hand.
Deze constructie moet drogen tot morgen. / This construction needs to dry until tomorrow.
