Kunstmatige Wortel Afgewerkt. / Artificial Root Finished.

Tim kijkt mijn vooruitgang na, van de laatste dagen. / Tim checks my progress of the last days.

Zo staan we ervoor. / We are so far.

Net als gisteren maak ik de rotsen leeg. / Just like yesterday, I clear the rocks.

Té haastig blijkt, want we zijn vergeten een maat te nemen.  Dát doen we dus zo... / Too hastily it seems.  Because, we forgot to take a measurement.  Thát gets done like this.

We willen een afsplitsing maken in de centrale as. / We want to make a separation in the central axis.

Hier ben ik bezig met een ijzerdraad bij te voegen. / Here, I'm inserting a wire.

Zoals je ziet, dat gaat. / As you can see, it works.

Nadien schuif ik een stukje flexibele buis over de centrale as. / After that, I shove a flexible tube over the central axis.

Met de wortel onderweg naar de mal. / With the root, along the way to the mould.

Ik plaats de wortel in de mal. / I place the root in the mould.

Ondertussen heeft Tim van mij te horen gekregen dat de kleinste maat van darmpjes niet over de ijzerdraad kunnen. / In the meantime, I've shared the news with Tim that the smallest size of tubes doesn't fit around the wire.

Hij heeft een idee en spuit wat Dreft op de tafel. / He has an idea and sprays some Dreft on the table.

De bedoeling is wat Dreft op de ijzerdraad te smeren, zodat deze gladder wordt om het darmpje op te schuiven. / The intention is to put a bit of Dreft on the wire, so it gets more slick.

Het glijden gaat beter.  Maar, uiteindelijk moet Tim z'n poging staken.  Hij komt tot dezelfde conclusie als ik: de kleinste maat van slangen past niet rond de ijzerdraad. / The gliding goes better.  But, in the end, Tim has to seize his effort.  He comes to the same conclusion as I did: the smallest size of tubes doesn't fit around the wire.

Ondertussen werk ik voort. / In the meantime, I work on.

Dan is het weer tijd om slangen te snijden... / Then, it's time again to cut tubes...

En, over ijzerdraden te schuiven... / And, shove them over wires...

Onze wortel moet terug naar de mal, als de centrale as af is. / Our root needs to return to the mould, when the central axis is finished.

Ik plaats hem terug op zijn plaats. / I put it on its place.

En, onze wortel is afgewerkt... / And, our root is finished...

We nemen de achterste wortel erbij. / We take the back root with it.

Dan verhuist hij naar de tafel. / Then, the back root moves to the table.

8 cm worden eraf gehaald. / 8 cm gets removerd from it.

Hier knip ik door de slang. / Here, I'm cutting through the hose.

En, ontrol de ijzerdraad. / And, unroll the wire.

Ik voeg een ijzerdraad toe. / I insert a wire.

Om deze aftakking te maken. / To make this separation.

Zo gaat ie lekker, niet? / Our progress comes along, or not?

Ik neem een stuk van 20 cm flexibele buis en plaats het op de centrale as van de achterste wortel. / I take a piece of flexible tube and put it on the central axis of the back root.

En, verbuig de ijzerdraad zó... / And, bend the wire like this...

Dat dit het resultaat is... / So, this is the result...
